Safety Week Celebration at QCFI – Pune

Safety Week is organised all over the world to enhance the safety awareness among the people. It is a national movement carried out on annual basis to prevent and lessen
the loss of life including various human health issues and their financial loss.

Quality Circle Forum of India also played its part in the Safety Week, the Safety week competition was held on Saturday 9 th March 2019, at Quality Circle Excellence Centre,
Bhosari. This was the 6 th  consecutive year that QCFI Pune Chapter hosted the Safety Week Competition. The Chief Guest at the Inaugural Function was Mr. Malay Saha –
Plant Head ITC Foods Ltd, Ranjangaon. The program started with National anthem and all the participants taking the Safety Oath.

95 nominations were received in various categories i. e Slogan, Poster, Skit & Success story presentation.  Around 300 participants from 21 Industries took part in this
competition.

The evaluation of Skit & Success story was done Mr. Hemant Bankar, Mr. Rupesh Yadav, Mr.Ravindra Dhotre, Ms. Parvin Tarafdar, Mr. Sunil Choughule, Ms. Nikhila Shirodkar & Mr. Shriniwas  Salunkhe . The evaluation of Slogan was done by Mr. Anant Kshirsagar & Mr. Satish Kalokhe.   The theme was focused on Industrial Health,
Safety & Environment .

Awards were given to all the teams & individual participants. The awards were given at the hands of the Chief Guest Mr. Prakash Jagtap ,Dr. Prasad Rajhans and QCFI President Mr. Satish Kalokhe, the council member of Quality Circle Forum of India Pune
chapter Mr. Sanjeev Shinde  & Mr. Anant Kshirsagar also gave the awards .

The facilitator for the inaugural function was Ms. Vijaya Rumale and Ms. Nikhila Shirodkar for Valedictory session. The Program was supported by Mr. Anant Kshirsagar from Thermax Ltd. The overall coordination of the program was done by Mr. Vijay
Kamble, Mr. Prashant Borate & Channdrashekhar Rumale of QCFI Pune Chapter.
