3rd Conclave on Poka Yoke, Jidoka, SMED and Karakuri

Quality Circle Forum of India – Bengaluru Chapter

QCFI Bengaluru Chapter, in association with BMS College of Engineering, South Bengaluru, conducted a 1-Day
Conclave on Poke Yoke, Jidoka, SMED and Karakuri, on Saturday, 25th January 2020. The college campus near
the well known Bull Temple of Bengaluru, is very neat and clean and equipped with state of the art
infrastructure facilities.

The Conclave had attracted 83 teams & 18 delegates from 28 organizations. 74 teams won the Gold award and
9 teams won the Silver award. The year on year growth in the number of participants has been more than 75%.
The participants have given a very good review about the venue, hospitality and other arrangements.

The program commenced in the morning by lighting the lamp by the Chief Guests and was concluded in the
evening after the award distribution and Vote of Thanks.

The Chief Guests for the Inaugural function were Dr B.V. Ravi Shankar, Principal, BMS College of Engineering,
and Sri R. Suresh, Chairman, QCFI, Bengaluru Chapter; and for the Valedictory function, we had Sri Siddhartha
Sirdeshpande, COO, Maini Precision Products, Sri Praveen Pai, General Manager, BOSCH Ltd., and Sri Ramesh
Nayak, HOD, Department of Industrial Engineering & Management, BMS College. The Chief Guests inspired
the participants with their motivational talks.

All the Governing Council members of the Chapter were actively associated and have given good support for

smooth flow of activity.
