In the recent economic down trend, the world over, the conditions have necessitated Lean thinking in every aspect of our working. LEAN simply means a systematic approach to identifying all types of waste and optimum utilization of available resources, continuous improvement, ensuring smooth flow of the product in the supply and manufacturing chain and meeting customers demand. In short, Lean is about ” doing more with less” – less inventory, less time, less space, less movement,less man-hours and with less money. Lean is speed with which one can deliver a quality product or service by ‘doing a job right first time’.While in India, Quality Circles concept started in 1982, for portraying the problem solving techniques LQC methodology was introduced in 2010.
The lean concept makes us think of such cases where we are not utilizing the potential of the people, who have developed themselves to solve the problems.
OBJECTIVES:
1. How to use the mature, highly potential people by working in Quality circles or SGA group.
2. To give additional inputs of knowledge through education and training and put them on Lean manufacturing projects.
3. To unearth the underutilized employee’s creativity.
4. LQC is directly measurable with respect to organization’s goals in terms of process improvement, Quality, cost reduction and faster delivery.
COURSE CONTENT:
1. Evaluation of the concept of Quality in products and services.
2. History, philosophy, objectives and benefits of LQC.
3. 14 principles of Lean manufacturing implementation.
4. Tools and Techniques applied in LQC.
5. Seven Wastes identification & elimination process.
6. Lean management and examples from different sectors.
TARGET PARTICIPANTS:
Those who are involved in Design & Development, Production, Maintenance, Quality, Planning, Procurement, Marketing and those who are willing to improve profitability acquiring ability to achieve more with fewer resources by elimination of wastes.
FACULTY:
Executive Director, QCFI, Mr. D.K. Srivatsava, who evolved the LQC
concept and instrumental in implementation in some industries.
COURSE FEE (Non-Residential):
Rs 2,200/-+ 15% Service Tax of Rs 330/- totalling Rs 2,530/- per participant. The participation fee includes Permanent Institutional Membership discount. The fee includes course material consisting of QCFI publications on LQC, Stationery. Lunch and Tea.
