Quality Circle Forum of India, Hyderabad Chapter conducted its 31st Chapter Convention on 11th and 12th September 2017, at Hotel Marigold, Greelands, Hyderabad. The Convention is being inaugurated by Shri Nayini Narasimha Reddy, Hon’ Minister for Home and Labour, Govt of Telangana. The key note address is to be delivered by Shri B.P. Acharya, IAS, Special Chief Secretary, Govt of Telangana.

Earlier in his welcome address Mr.Ch. Balakrishna Rao, Chairman of QCFI Hyderabad Chapter said more than 200 teams presenting their improvement projects today and tomorrow benefiting their organisations leading to enormous savings of the order of several crores. This was made possible by empowerment given by their organisations. As a social responsibility, the Quality Forum is keen to spread these concepts to schools and colleges free of cost without expecting monetary returns. By orienting the young minds in schools and colleges about the quality concepts in their formative years, quality becomes the way of life.

In his Inaugural address, Hon’ble Minister for Home and Labour, Govt of Telangana, Shri Nayini Narasimha Reddy said that quality is the boss. He emphasised that the relation between management and employees should be cordial. Management should extend all training needs for delivering quality products and services to employees. He also reiterated that employee should also cooperate with management in meeting the business needs. This is necessary to meet the challenge of the day which is highly competitive. Only when the companies flourish, the State will do well and in turn the Nation also will be benefited. He said that a satisfied employee is a productive asset.

CCQC2017-HyderabadIn his keynote address Shri B.P. Acharya, Special Chief Secretary, Govt of Telangana said that based on his observation in the countries like South Korea, Japan and China, our country also must catch-up with quality products and services. He praised yeoman services rendered by QCFI which has helped the industries to develop quality products and people. He requested QCFI Hyderabad Chapter to associate with Dr.Marri Channa Reddy Human Resource Development Institute of Telangana to take-up quality concepts as a subject in the foundation course for administrative services personnel.

Hon’ble Minister for Home and Labour also gave away awards to the following organisations BHEL, NMDC, Usha International, TSRTC, BEL, Thermo Groups, Ramco Cements Jaggayapet, My Home Industries, Mahindra and Mahindra Zaheerabad for practising TQM in their organisations and supporting Quality Circle Movement.
