The QCFI – BENGALURU CHAPTER has been thriving hard to reach the organizations through various programs which are useful and need of the hour to member organizations.
In continuation with our Chapter activities, our Chairman and GC Members brought out an idea of celebrating the Safety Month Celebration. As a motivation to us TGSIN came forward to support in conducting ONE DAY WORKSHOP ON SAFETY CONCEPTS in their premises. The theme selected for this workshop: “SAFETY the base for Quality”. The brochure was prepared and sent to all the members and member organizations. The registration was restricted to 30 members. The total 11 organizations participated and sent their delegates.

The venue for the workshop was Toyoda Gosei India Pvt Ltd. The inauguration of the programme started by welcoming the guests, guests speakers, delegates and GC Members by QCFI Secretary Sri T.A.Murali. As per our tradition the function stared with the lighting of lamp by guests, Sri B.N.Jagadish Prasad, Chairman and delegates.

The gathering was addressed by Chief Guest Sri Bijay K Shreshta MD TGSIN. Followed by Chief Guest speech our Chairman Mr B. Thej Kumar gave a lecture on – “The base for Japanese Management”. This was a wonderful session to understand Japanese culture, which has been developed from childhood. The video presentation was self-explanatory.
After Sri B. Thej Kumar speech, Smt Smitha Venkatesh – EHS Consultant delivered speech on “Behavior Based Safety” – Fundamental for Safety. The lecture was very thought provoking and well received by audience with lot of interaction.

The next lecture was from Smt Gayathri Ramannna who is expert in OSHAS. The talk was on “Risk Assessment and Hazard Identification”. The Madam’s lecture was focused on HIRA which was a one of the good trainings, as well to build HIRA Analysis and evaluation and development solution. It was one of a very good interactive session on HIRA. After lunch break, continued with lecture on Fire and Electrical Safety by Sri Mani – TGSIN who has shared hand on experience.

The beauty of the program was practical activity time, where the participants participated in the group activity on one of the concept “KYT”. This was finding out the abnormality and rating and identifying action item. The best team was given with a Gift.

After Completion of practical session, the next program was SAFETY DOJU & GEMBA VIST. The visit to factory was focused on Gurudhama and Safety precaution to be followed while Machine Installation with “Lock Out Tag Out concept (LOTO)”. The TGSIN has setup a Gurudhama where all Electrical Safety and Fire Safety demonstration was setup. All the working model on Motor operation, Safety aspects, Creation of Fire in chamber and extinguishing by taking out any one element which causes fire were eye catching.

The mild electric shock generating unit was setup where someone can feel how
the shock can be experienced.

The Guest speakers were honored with Plaque by our Vice-Chairman Sri S.Kulkarni. The participants were given with participation certificate from QCFI, along with one LSC Book.

Our GC Member Sri G Natarajan delivered vote of thanks to guests, delegates, TGSIN for providing all the support, GC Members, Office bearer and who worked behind the screen.

At the end of the session, feedback was obtained through feedback form, where more than 85% of people expressed the Workshop was very good and rest good. Many have expressed verbally to conduct more such programs in future.
