Worked 36 years in BHEL in Electrical Machine Shop, Quality Assurance & Business Excellence. Retired from BHEL as General Manager in 2014 as Business Excellence Head.
Trained more than 5000 employees in BHEL on QCC, 5S, TQM, ISO 9001, SPC, QTM & Six Sigma concepts.
Guide and mentor for more than 1000 projects related to ‘Quality Circle movement in BHEL for more than 15 years.
Steered 5S movement in BHEL.
Training and consultancy provided to Public & Private sector organizations related to QCC, Kaizen, ISO 9001, SPC, FMEA, MSA, Lean Manufacturing, TS-16949, TPM & Six Sigma implementation in more than 50 units in different organizations.
Trained & certified more than 500 employees / students for Green Belt / Black Belt, Six Sigma Certification.
Guide to more than 50 Six Sigma Projects in SKF, ITC, ABB, WIPRO, Emami, Tata, Imperial Auto, Minda Corporation, BHEL, Genus Power, etc.
Written books on Quality Circle (English & Hindi), 5S, Quality through Measurement and Applied Six Sigma. All these books are copyright of undersigned.
Two patents under the name of undersigned. One is “Quality Through Measurement” & other is “Design & Development of Fixture for drilling of holes in TG Shaft of 500MW”, won BHEL Excellence Award in 2006 for QTM.
Implemented “ Lean Manufacturing Competitive Scheme” of Government of India under Cluster Approach in 18 industries at Haridwar and Amritsar.
Contribution in QCFI
Promoted Quality Circle concept in all units of BHEL and participated in the conventions held by QCFI at Chapter, National & International level to learn and subsequently implemented in BHEL as Unit Coordinator of QCC movement for 15 years.
Participated as a unit coordinator in ICQCC 2007 at China & 2011 at Malaysia.
Steered the movement for creating QCFI Haridwar Chapter. Conducted more than 100 orientation programs so far since its inception in 2011 to promote the cause of QCFI. More than 3000 employees / Students are covered in these programs.
Promoting QCFI at Dehradun for Pharm Industries and also at Rudrapur & Punjab
QCFI Haridwar is the first chapter registered as Vocational Training Provider (VTP) for skill development Implementing SDI Scheme of Govt. to India. Trained more than 300 youths/ industrial workers to enhance their skill.
Implementing Community College scheme Under the National Vocational Education Qualification Framework of The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to enhance the skill of Diploma Engineers as Skill Knowledge Provider (SKP) Trained more than 50 Diploma Engineers. QCFI Haridwar Chapter is first chapter had entered into agreement with AICTE.
