National Awards for Cement Industry and Conclave on Sustainability Excellence of Indian Cement and Concrete Industry and its vision of Net Zero on 29^th & 30^th January-2024 at Hyderabad International Convention Centre, Novotel Hotel, Hyderabad

I am pleased to inform that 3^rd Edition of National Awards for Cement Industry and Conclave on Sustainability Excellence of Indian Cement and Concrete Industry and its vision of Net Zero’ is organised by QCFI with CMA & SICMA as Associate Partners and GCCA, RMCMA, CII & NCCBM as Knowledge Partners on 29^th & 30^th January, 2024 at Hyderabad International Convention Centre, Novotel Hotel, Hyderabad.

This is a prestigious National Conference where all the Cement Companies are participating and main agenda is “NET ZERO” and Environmental sustainability.

The details of the two days event are as follows:

Day 1 (29^th January, 2024): The day starts with Inaugural Session and address by chief guest

Competition for the following awards for all cement plants at Unit level. All competing plants will get an opportunity to present their initiatives to the jury members.

1. Energy Excellence (Energy intensity reduction in cementmanufacturing like specific of thermal energy, electrical energy, CPP heat rate, auxiliary consumption
2. Climate change mitigation and CO2 excellence (CO2 reduction achieved and initiatives taken for Scope-1, Scope-2 & Scope-3 CO2 emissions)
3. Environmental Excellence in cementplant, captive power plants, mines and colony (stack and fugitive emissions, sox, nox, water and noise pollution control) in emission control stack and fugitive emission and noise control etc.,
4. Bio-diversity, green cover, afforestation & Mining rehabilitation Excellence
5. Excellence in usage of alternative fuels in cementmanufacturing and captive power plants
6. Renewable Energy (Wind, Solar onsite/offsite, waste heat power generation, Biomass power, Use of Bio fuels for mining and transport, use of EVs for cementoperations.
7. Safety Excellence in cementmanufacturing alternative fuels handling, mines and logistics and health initiatives.
8. Water Excellence which includes water conservation, waste water treatment, effluent treatment and water harvesting in cementplant, mines, CPP, Colony and community areas.
9. Excellence in productivity improvement.

10.Environment and sustainability excellence in ready mix concrete.

Day 2 (30^th January, 2024): 

1. Technical Sessions are planned on all the topics for which the awards are given in the award competition. The technical sessions also cover the technology pathways towards Net zero in cementand ready mix concrete manufacturing.
2. Presentation on latest technology developments and successful case studies by Technology suppliers (OEMs) and Experts from Indian cementand concrete industry.
3. The award winning plants presentations.
4. Awards presentation to the winners and mementos to all participating plants, by the distinguished dignitaries.
